Botanical Studies #06

The starting point for this project was the imagery of Rachel Ruysch. The images are that of plants and flora of the Botanical Gardens in Glasgow. It is shot from the outside looking into the Glasshouse as the plants press up against the glass. I liked the idea of the flora being framed as still life within the glass frames, protected from an alien environment and grown time after time in the perfect habitat. Distorted.
